“The person of each individual human being, in his or her material and spiritual needs, is at the heart of Christ’s teaching: this is why the promotion of the human person is the goal of the Catholic school.”
St Patrick’s Primary School, Macksville has a rich history of providing Catholic education for generations of families in the Nambucca Valley. St Patrick’s celebrated 100 years of Catholic education in the Nambucca Valley in 2019. The school relocated to Macksville Heights Estate in 2016. The new school is built on a 3-hectare site and includes 21st Century buildings with beautiful rural surrounds.
When asked why parents choose St Patrick’s, most parents site the fact that the school has a very good academic record, teaches Catholic traditions and beliefs, is a ‘family friendly school’, is a safe place for their children and embraces Christian values. As with many Catholic schools in the Diocese of Lismore, St Patrick’s School has educated many generations and will continue to do so in the future. Our school is distinctly Catholic, with Masses and liturgies being celebrated in the school hall. Our Parish Priest, Fr Shelwin Fernandez, visits the school frequently to work with staff and students.
The school offers an extensive program for families covering Religious Education, English, Mathematics, Physical Education, Music, Integrated studies through an inquiry learning approach, Creative Arts and Technology. Our dedicated teaching staff ensures that all students have the opportunity to reach their learning goals. Our school has a state of the art technology program for students. Students have access to iPads, Interactive touch screens, robotics and video conferencing. The school has an extensive wireless network to ensure fast download speeds.
