Educators at St Patrick’s School innovate and collaborate to discover new ways of integrating technology into their Christ Centred practice. We empower our students to become creative, curious and critical thinkers in a global community by embedding digital learning across the curriculum.
Each student has access to an iPad that is used as a learning tool and is managed by the school. The school downloads learning apps onto all iPads. Staff will be provided with ongoing Professional Learning to support the use of digital technologies in the classroom and prepare the students for the future.
All staff will consider screen time when setting tasks using digital technologies and that the technology will not replace the use of reading books for enjoyment or the skill of handwriting. The school and parents take on a joint responsibility of teaching cyber safety, digital literacy and citizenship.
